Mondageesokwe ndizhnikaaz Makwa ndodem, nsimidana shi niiwin biboonagiziyaan, Odawa Anishinaabekwe ndaw.  Iwidi Flat ziibiwing ndoonjibaa,  Ben  ninabem izhinikaazo.

Mondageesokwe is my name, I am bear clan, 34 winters old, an Odawa Indian woman is who I am.  Over there by the Flat River is where I am from,  Ben is my husband’s name.

I have been married to Ben for about a year, although we have been friends for 10 or so years.We do not have any children.

I am a hand drummer – Native drum and Irish Bodhran, I also sing and can play other percussionary things: rattles, bells, sticks, bongos…etc, piano, harmonica, flutes of various kinds, ocarina ….

I also am one of the original members of the Wabanaisee (Snowbird) Singers from Mt. Pleasant Michigan.

I am into Politics, Sociology, History, Reading, Music: listening – Singing – Drumming, All things Anishinabeg, Beadwork, Black Ash Baskets, Art – Woodland style / and artful Tattoos, gardening, gathering and family.

      Miigwetch My Sistah!!! I hope it helps! Ben said I need to smile more… The camera made me nervous… like the stagefright I would get everytime Mae would have me talk at one of our Wabanaisee gigs… I think with practice I will get over the scariness..
